TEACHING PRACTICE - PORTFOLIO
I am a dance artist with a portfolio career which involves performing, making, teaching and mentoring. My practice is in contemporary dance but includes Disco Freestyle and floor based acrobatics & handstands. I work with improvisation based tasks to generate material, have worked extensively with somatic based practices. I have worked with a Practice as Research model with my practice via an MA in Performance Practice, alongside teaching Bird College students in their research led independent projects module (dissertation/reflective practice + performance element).

- Solo Dance Making process based on my experience bringing Disco Freestyle into a contemporary dance making practice
- Facilitating a reflective process for artists to understand how to work in a solo dance making practice including processes for working, strategies & tasks and how to work towards performance making.
- Sharing examples of solo dance making process via the making process of Disco Queen
